My 2 micron fuel filter install

I installed a 2 micron secondary fuel filter today. I put it inline after the factory filter. I must say it is not a difficult job if you have some fabrication skills but, with all the running around it took to get the parts together (other than the filter I had on the shelf) it would have been much easier and not a whole lot more money to order the kit from glacier diesel power. In fact if you count your labor for anything the kit is much cheaper than chasing down the parts and fabricating the braket to hold the filter, plus you get a better looking bracket. Anyway this is how it looks.

Nice job on the fabrication and install. I bought the big line kit from Glacier and installed it last week. The only thing I did not like about the kit is that his instructions want you to install the cp3 feed line on the rear of the filter housing. It also leaked a little at two of the fittings, but that was just a matter of loosening and then retorqueing the two elbows. The kit was complete and the directions were very clear cut, well worth the money.

I did mine the same way but it was a hose routing thing for me. I don't have a big line kit I just used the existing line so it made sense to run the lines that way (cp3 feed from the rear of the filter).
