You will be very happy with the way it will shift with a new performance VB!! When I first got into my truck I installed just the valve body and it shifted awesome. Once I got the TC put in the shifts softened up a bit. I was kind of disappointed. give Tim a call or PM him. Maybe he has one he can bring and install at Claremont.....
Once you get that VB, though, you're gonna want a box!! They will be raffling a new Quadzilla box at Claremont too. I want to see you bidding!!!!

Right on - thats the feed back I was looking for. I want something that will make me smile when I hammer it! I feel even now it has some slippage when yanking my 1500lbs worth of bass tracker when Im racing someone Hopefully the VB would be a worthwhile investment - until I go radical one day - I can have the TC done when I get the input and outputs done It can be done relativaly quickly too right? I might have to make a call after all...

From the dealings that I have had with transmission companies Dave Goerend is by far and above the best at customer service. His products are to notch too. I have heard good things about HTS, but have never personally dealt with him.

2Stroke,
Timinva can get your trans pulled, rebuilt, and reinstalled in a few hours. The valve body install only takes an hour or so..... It's something that you can do yourself but there are some parts you need to take off your stock unit. You will need a bunch of fluid too......
AND, racing while towing isn't the smartest thing to do!! That will kill the trans in short order.......

I don't recall hearing the name HTS before but I'm sure they are good if you guys say so. There's also ATS, Suncoast, and the others mentioned already.

Trans upgrades are always a good investment for a cummins because lets face it, the stock trans is not the greatest. Even a small programmer will cause more trans wear than stock hp. I would recomend a programmer because trans upgrades dont make a night and day difference in performance. By the way, the third gen. flex plate seems to be the week link in the trans. Call HTS and they will set you up with everything you will need.
