Valve Body

Ok Where do i get a VALVE BODY and how much is one?
I installed a new low stall converter and it works well untill i really load the truck down then it will chatter going into lock up or if i pour on the power when it is locked it will slip. From what im getting from the form I need a VB that will add lock up pressure and add cooler flow.
so where and how much?

Has anybody heard of a VB that shifts like stock during normal driving but when you get on it line pressure jumps to 200 lbs so your clutches don't slip at all.

hts

I know a lot of people that are running an hts trans and vb and they all love them. I plan to get one as soon as I get the money. By far the best trans built.

I'll second that, Dusty knows his stuff and builds a valvebody and trans second to none.

I want to know what ya'll think - I want to upgrade my truck... would a valve body be a great first mod - over going with the BDDL or TST? I mean, would spending the $500 to get it be worth it when I dont have any real "power" upgrades? Would it be safe and provide the seat in the pants feel and really use all my engines stock power?

well i guess that really depnds on how much h.p you wanna run .. i would say if you want to flirt with more than say 80 to a 100 hp i would definatly want to look into getting some transmission work done .. if you wanna stay with like a quad tow modual or something along those lines i wouldn't worry too much about it ..

I think you are missing my point. I know upgrading the tranny will be good for it if I go high hp. But, I know I loose like 20% thru my tranny stock. Will the new VB and TC lessen that to like say 10%? Would the tranny mod be more worthwhile than a programmer in that it will provide more power transfer, a stiffer shift and longevity to my truck? I dont know, my im just beating a dead horse...

Ill just keep doing my homework.
