Undercover Tonneau & Line-X
Undercover Tonneau & Line-X
PICS are in my members gallery.
Got the Line-X done = $400.00 (over the rail)
Got the Undercover Tonneau ($780.00 installed)
The cover is GREAT. It locks at both ends preventing someone from opening the tailgate. It has gas struts. It is easily removable (weighs 55 pounds). Has an LED light.
I bought it so I can transport/store items in the cargo bed securely and without them being exposed to the elements and people. I can take it off easily if I need to transport something larger.
I might even gain 1MPG on the highway due to its aerodynamic features!

Same two products for me. Undercover is off at least once a month, no big deal other than it does require two people. Line-X dealer in Fresno has resprayed worn areas (my fault) on two different occasions as part of his warranty. Very satisfied with both products and my dealer.

I have the Undercover as well -
ONE THING TO WATCH OUT FOR: make sure you check the brackets every once in a while to make sure they're aligned properly, and the bolts haven't loosened up. I have a couple of places on my truck where the paint has been rubbed by the Undercover due to it not aligning properly. I also had to take a Dremel tool to one of the leading edge corners of the Cover because it was constantly rubbing, even after I adjusted the brackets.
Since I've done that, the Cover works fine, and I agree it's one of the most versatile ones out there.

For those in the DFW area, I have Undercover's on sale. See the "Four Specials" at www.linexfortworthtexas.com
I have the same combo, love both products...
The Undercover is wonderful. It does take two people to safely remove it (unless you don't worry about dinging your truck) but I've heard the more "traditional" fiberglass tonneaus can weigh hundreds of pounds - making their removal a BIG event. We pop our Undercover on and off whenever it's convenient.
The Line-X is solid, too. The only thing that's dinged it so far was a full-sized fire hydrant. I asked a guy to help me get it out of the truck and even though I was lifting my end he started DRAGGING his. The sharp edge backed up by 100+ pounds of weight took a dime-sized chunk out of the Line-X. Definitely not the Line-X material's fault - it would probably have scraped a hole if the bed metal had been exposed.
I strongly recommend both products.
