Undercover or Fold-a-Cover, Help me Decide!?

I'm torn between the Undercover and the Fold-a-cover.

Primarily my truck is a commuter, but on weekends I use the bed for all types of home improvement, toting stuff for friends, etc. I also have a 30' enclosed trailer so for big, but not too big I can use the trailer.

I think the 1 piece nature of the Undercover would have less maintenance in the long run.

I also think the fold-a-cover's access to the front of the bed would make a nice place to put a couple of boxes in the bed to give me a trunk like function.

How does the undercover hold up in the sun? Can a 230 lb person really stand on it with no damage?

Any advice is appreciated!

Thanks,

Ryan

I don't know anything about the Undercover, but I have a Fold-a-cover on my truck.. had it on from the week after I got the truck. I like the function of this cover as I pull a fifth wheel and it lets me do this without a problem. I like the access to front of the bed when not hooked up rather than having to open the entire cover... The cover has held up well over the last 3.5 years and when cleaned up looks as good as new. I have not stood on it but I have carried some heavy things on it for short distances when in a hurry.. I did remove their tailgate latch (small hook on the tailgate to lock the tailgate to the cover) as it made it a pain everytime I just wanted to get in the rear of the bed.. I replaced the latch with a pop-n-lock on the tailgate to dissaude the "honest" crooks.. and I have has zero maintenance issues with the cover.

I love my Undercover

My Undercover has been on since last December. Never in a garage and always in the hot south Texas sun and weather. I use 303 Aerospace protectant about every 3 months. Looks just line new. Don't know about 230lbs guy, but my 105lb teenage daugher likes to sit and climb on it all the time. My daughter and me can have it off and hanging in the garage in 5 minutes with ease. Couple of pics, not good pics. The Undercover looks better than the pics. It is not quite as pretty as my Snuglid XL, but much better functionally. And the price $645 was pretty good too. 20 minutes install.

My ONLY comlaint about the fold-a-cover, is that in the hot sun, it's like a million degrees. Other than that, I love. I would buy one again.

Yeah, I forgot about that... but on the other hand, you could use it to cook on in a pinch...
