Go the truck all stripped down and off to the paint shop today and thought since the head lights are out anyways I might as well put it back together with new brighter bulbs, but whats the deal with the numbers I see addvertized? I see 4k,4.5k, 6k, 8k, ect along with the HB1 9004 number
Whats the k numbers represent, brightness? Just a side note other than not being to bright the original Silvanias (6/97) are still working. Got to like that

They are bright as heck and nice and white!

 

Typically, with lamps / bulbs, the K represents degrees Kelvin which indicates color corolation temperature (the link lists color temp vs. color). It is the standard by which bulb or lamp color is compared. The link explains it in greater detail.
