two piece exhaust manifold

Hey fellas,
How many of you guys are running a high flow two piece exhaust mainifold? I have one on my truck and my mechanic highly reccomended it. I was just wondering, is the stock one really that bad? I put it on at the same time as the B-1 so I really don't know if it made a difference.

I thought it made a difference, but not enough for the $400 it costs. The back three cylinders get their own channel to the collector versus sharing on the stock one. I also thought the low end get-up and go on stock power was a little better after the ATS. Still, not sure I would do it again unless the price comes down some. ....and that heater hose support bracket was a royal b**ch to get off. Who knows, it may be helping in big ways when pushing upwards of 450hp.

Now my turn. What kind of mileage do you get with those DD3s? How is your B1 handling the DD3/TST combo. Heat? Smoke?

I get about 15-16 average, mixed city/highway driving. Considering my mods and tires size, I am content with those #'s
My B-1 seems to be handling the TST and injectors fairly well. I still am not able to run the TST any higher than 6-6 as EGT's will climb rapidly. I have found that the optimum setting for drag racing is 6-3. I leave at about 16lbs of boost and she gets right after it.
As far as EGT reduction goes, I am now able to complete a 1/4 mile run without getting over 1450. I have only towed lightly with this turbo but so far so good I set the TST on 3/3 and never even got above 1000 degrees. Mind you I wasn't easy on the throttle either. Also I was pulling up a canyon that gains 4000 feet in elevation in 15 miles.

Sorry about the late post, I wasn't near a computer on the weekend

Thanks. Do you have billet shafts in that pro-loc?

Yes I do it is the bad boy! What I like most about it is the warranty. Kind of gives you peace of mind to bomb away knowing the tranny will hold pretty much whatever I throw at it.
