twins using a silver 64

I was wondering if anybody is using a silver 64 in a twins setup. I would like to take advantage of the PDW sale before tommorrow and so I am trying to decide on a turbo. Eventually, I would like to go to a twin setup, so that is one of my main selling points. I want good drivability, but i am afraid I will outgrow the silver 62 to soon. Any help and input would be great.

Ryan

I know that some of the big hp trucks that run twins have a 64 sized charger for the top turbo, i would think it would work with the right bottom charger, somethin like the s480!
Im lookin at either the HTT 64 or HTT 66, if i go with the HTT64 its so i can put the s480 under it!

There are several people running a 64 over an s480. That was my thinking when I bought my 64 to later run it in twins.

don't sell the silver short 62/74/14 it's a mean turbo & a great secondary turbo on top of a S480

I currently run a HTT 62/71/13 S480 combo and it's a killer combo
and (would not want any slower spooling ) on the street

the 64 will yield approx 50 hp + or - increase at the expense of spool up

IMO on a daily driver street truck the 62 s400 or s480 combo would be the call

for a dyno king or 1/4 mile - race track , full boost launches , the 64 be a touch stronger & better for a more narrowly focused weekend race truck

the 62 silver gets my vote
reason = the big tires 37's and your current avail fuel & supporting mods

I went ahead and got the silver 62. My Mod list for the next few months is extensive so I know I will run in to the limits of the Turbo pretty quickly. Since i was going to run it in a twins setup anyway, just gives me an excuse to get twins sooner.

Unless you bomb it pretty soon you'll prob be fine with this turbo. My egt's stay under 1250 with my setup. That still leaves room for some 90hp injectors.

Here's the deal. The turbo and a FASS 200 pump are graduation presents to myself. I graduate from college in three weeks and for my graduation I am getting a Full Billet Tranny and some sticks. I've had money saved for a cp3 for months, but I just wanted to wait until I got my tranny and injectors.
