I'll be installing my IdahoCTD twin turbos next week since i finally broke the bank and got a built tranny, if i remember right these make about 60PSI, how much have stock head gasgets on the 06's been holding before they blow? If i baby it(keeping my boost below a certain amount?) untill i can afford head studs and fire rings should i be ok?

 

the mls head gaskets on the 3rd gens are pretty impressive. with stock head bolts id stay at 50 psi and lower. any more and id be getting worried.

 

I am running 55psi with my silver bullet. I have studs with a stock gasket. I would just install some arp studs and you should be fine at 60 psi provided the engine is fully warmed up prior to beating on it. Tim

 

Well I have my II SPS66 wastegate set at 55psi and I have seen it a number of times at the track with stock head bolts and gasket. I am waiting for money to do studs, intectors, etc. before I start beating hard on it again though.
