What do you do with the plug in the truck for the stock waste gate control, just let it hang in the truck and how do you bypass the check engine light after after market turbo installation?

What year is your truck? You can't bypass the check engine light on an 06 to my knowledge.

Well II has a jumper for the 04.5 and up electric solenoid wiring harness that they sell for their turbos. The jumper just keeps the ECM happy with the wiring circuit, it does not do anything else like boost fooling.

 

HTT and II both sell the bypass plug. I have one from HTT and my dad also bought one for his 06. They didn't say anything about it not working on an 06, but dad doesn't have his turbo on yet for me to give a for sure answer on that.

 

Not sure what brand turbo you went with? But when I bought my HTT they sent it with the litttle jumper plug. So try who you bought it from.

I sell the turbos, this is my first install on a newer dodge. This was for my personal truck so I can figure out what I will need to do on my customers rigs. I called HTT and all that is needed is a 100ohm resister to correct the waste gate soliniod code. Thanks for the help...

 

Yup. I ended up doing the resistor thing. It has worked fine for several months now.
