hi there i am replacing the turbo on my 2002 1 ton dually hx35 with another hx35 is it just a straight forward unbolt and bolt back together process or are there things that i am not aware of?

 

just pre-lube the new turbo.

 

hey clutch1 thanks for the reply what is the easiest way to prelube the turbo? i had just planned on filling it with oil via the oil line going into turbo is there a better way?

not to hijack but,
if i was to remove the turbos to drill my pyro, would i need to replace any gaskets or anything else?

 

Just spin the compressor while pouring oil into the top where the oil line goes in. Also....sometimes you gotta "clock" the housing to align the intercooler tubes or oil line. Just loosen the bolts on the back of the compressor housing & turn it if you need to & retighten.
