Turbo Fart???
Turbo Fart???
I've got some funky noise when driving and my truck shifts into high gear. It always seems to happen under light driving conditions too. It seems like I have to be going just fast enough for the truck to shift into high gear and then....BRAAAP, turbo fart!
If I keep my foot in it, this noise never appears. Anyone know what the heck I am talking about?
(I realize it's probably not the turbo, I just had to give this sound a name)
Thanks,
Chad

I had the same thing and thought it was coming from my tranny. This thread covers everything from inception to fix. In a nut shell, remove your silencer ring and that will fix it, assuming we are talking about the same noise.

With a 9cm housing on the HY-35,, it's not hard to bark the turbo.
I bet that's what you are hearing. Except, a turbo bark sounds more like a Woof-Woof-Woof.
