NOPE!

DTR was created, in part, so you would not have to pay for the invalueable information that you can get here!

Turbo Diesel Register charges its members to get the magazine and be part of their forums.

DTR has more members than TDR for a reason. I'll be staying a member here as long as they'll have me.

 

Somebody get a rope! j/k TDR is Turbo Diesel Register and they do publish a magazine. I believe it comes out quarterly. They also offset their expenses by charging their members yearly subscription fees. DTR does not publish a magazine nor do we charge any subscription fees. You join our community for free. That's not to say that there isn't expenses incurred in the operation of DTR but they are offset by advertising, donations made through the DTR Store and purchases made from the DTR Store.

 

I like both places... I don't mind paying the fee for the TDR. There is alot more "technical" info over there so it's good to read both. Plus I like reading the magazine...

It doesn't bother me a bit to pay $35 because I donated the same amount to the DTR...

I like TDR a lot and been a member their for a long time.I like this site and would pay here.Sometimes pay sites and free sites are as differant as public swimming pools and country clubs.
