Does the tst with adj. pressure eliminate the need for an mp-8?Just looking into trying a different stack with crazy larry, even considered a smarty/tst combo. Have any of you ran both of these combos? There is so many different opinions as to what works best and with the new smarty 4.4beta it is making it harder to decide if a change is neede from my current set-up.As for the smarty beta has anyone one ran it enough to say this thing is good enough to be ran as a stand alone programer or is a tst or mp-8 still a good option when wanting more.Iknow this seems like I'm all over the place, just wanting the BEST ALL AROUND set-up(driveability,towing,play, in that order)

 

I think the MP8 will add pressure more aggressivly than the TST box. What I would do would be run the TST w/o the pressure (if you can do that) and use the mp8 for it.

 

I agree with Rufushusky, if you have another pressure box, you might want to use it. I tried to use it to eliminate the EZ, but after playing around for a couple of weeks, I could not find a smooth, streetable setting in the tst pressure. I wouldn't go without the box for duration/timing, but the pressure on the tst is only good for dyno running.

 

The smarty beta 4.3 is incredible for power alone but the smoke is way too much for street driving on 5 or above , the 4.4 is more streetable almost no smoke at all !! its almost like a super chips or banks with regards to the smoke except way more power.
I think that with your mods I would run a 4.4 beta on #7 alone on the street and everyday driving only use the mp8 for track days or dyno day on 40% with smarty 4.3 on #9. maybe for towing try smarty on stock basically off and turn mp8 up to maybe 60-80% alone for towing. I can tell you the smarty is plenty power alone with your mods keep pushing it and eventually start breaking parts and shorten the life expectancy of your truck looks like you have 500-550 hp with your mods truck should run really well your truck looks nice going by your sig IMO TST is very tempermental and PITA TST is very hard to talk to regarding cust service etc no question it can be a mean stack but it also can be a destroyer IMO if you can get away with less its better (KISS) smarty alone or smarty and mp8 or ez or quad pressure box is also really good quality and performance smarty stacked with any of those IMO is your safest best bet if you have lots of time and money and a few motors & a couple of built transmissions laying around look at NOS as well have fun building a race truck its like a second job that does not make any money but costs a whole lot and takes up all your time LOL this is fun stuff though very addicting , I love these monster inline diesel sixes...... FYI I have stacked ( bullydog power pup extreme / TST ) ( bullydog crazy larry / TST & mp8) ( bullydog scary larry/ TST /mp8) (smarty 4.3 beta / TST/ mp8) (smarty 4.4 beta /TST/mp8) and also have tested all of them as stand alone and also all of the above in a (combo of double stacks ) the smarty by far is the smoothest best overall power & cust service for me has been better then good dealing with bob wagner also Timinva has been really cool & has gave me some tips as well smarty team is strong! Smarty performance is exceptional alone on my truck it loves smarty no issues no codes just pure power & getting better all the time. I actually drive my truck now 99% of the time smarty stand alone and have too many kills to count so far been lucky no tickets & no losses to any other trucks I have lined up against, not saying I have the fastest truck but I will say its dang fast for the street LOL
