TST vs. TST / Edge EZ Stack
TST vs. TST / Edge EZ Stack
I currently have an Edge EZ installed on my 2005 and I have purchased a TST PowermaxCR. I have read post stating that there are benefits to stacking pressure and timing boxes together. Will stacking make EGTs worse than a single box? On mid level on the EZ at WOT, I can see EGTs exceed 1350. Looking for suggestions from others that stack boxes together. I want to create more usable power without getting excessively hot.
My signature says that the boxes are stacked but I have not stacked them... yet...
Thanks

I don't see an upgraded turbo in your sig. I would suggest that before you stack both boxes and crank up the numbers you look into a better turbo. The stocker doesn't really like just the TST box, nevermind the combination.
You can stack both with no Turbo issue.
I speak from experience and have done this.
Just make sure to setup the wastegate line provided with the powermax and you'll have no worries, provided that you do not use level's 7 or higher with and aggressive foot.
If you let the wastegate do its thing the turbo with live a long and happy life.
PS if you stack your EGT's should come down a hair with the EZ/TST combo.

With a stock turbo, will the stacked box combination produce more HP with lower EGTs than the TST box by itself? I know without a new turbo, I will be limited with either setup. I appreciate the comments.

The Edge EZ is just fine if the pressure levels are kept turned down. Its the high settings that are causing the damage. Level 2 and down are good.
Level 4 and the secret levels should be avoided for extended periods. I did have one truck with a Level 4 setting tha tmnade it 11,000 miles with little damage. It was just begining. He drives very easy most of the time though.

I just picked up my warrantied EZ from my 04. I got my dealer switched it out for one for my 600. I see the EZ ties in to the map sensor , but so does my TST. So I am wondering how one stacks these two. Do you leave one unhooked and plugged in to it's self or plug them all in together?.
If I'm not mistaken, I believe you plug the TST in first since it doesn't boost fool. Then you would plug the EZ into the TST plug and then the stock plug into the EZ's other plug. Sorry if this sounds confusing
. It should go like this Tst<--TST piggyback plug<-- EZ<--EZ piggyback plug<--stock
Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
