TST - Intermittent Lockup

Anyone else having troubles with their TST boxes just locking up intermittently? Basically what happens is that it looks like it is functional with HP and TQ numbers showing but when you give it the pedal you can tell that the truck is running in stock mode. When you try to change the HP or TQ numbers the pendant is locked up. The only way to resolve this is to shut the truck off and cycle it back on.

Any suggestions? Don't really want to bother TST if someone else already has the answer. BTW, this is a freshly programmed box.

Did I mention that this thing rocks?!! I have only been able to run 5/4 or 6/3 and talk about some smoke and pull.

TST deserves a round of applause for such an awesome product.
Now where's that new clutch??

I have tracked down the problem. This is only happening on cold mornings when the grids run. Basically I think that when the grids cycle the voltage drops enough to lock up the logic in the TST box.

Checked this morning as the weather was quite chilly and as soon as I started the truck I started changing the horsepower setting and monitored the Voltage guage for the grids cycling. As soon as the first cycle hit the box locked up. I am guessing that the grids pull the voltage down to 10.5-11 volts which is certainly enough to lock up the digital circuit.

Anybody else out there having this problem?

I also had a problem with the remote display box acting strange on cool mornings. I talked to Mark at TST and he had no idea why the display would would flash and the gauge readings were erratic. It only happened when the temps were cool. Now it makes perfect sense. The problem quit happening when the weather warmed up.

What's strange is that the power setting is what locks up but if you push the select button you can change the torque setting although it does nothing.

I am going to sell the truck anyway so the TST box is getting removed. Just thought that someone else may be seeing the same problems.

It ended up being the box. TST was very helpful and changed out my injector harness then we swapped boxes and the problem is now resolved.

Now that's its cold again, mine is doing the same thing again. Looks like I need to contact TST about getting my box replaced.
