I have the 04.5CTD QC dually with the 6spd. barely has 10K miles and installed the TST.

4-2 on the hwy in 6th gear clutch slips... but when on 6-4 I can speed shift 1st-4th w/o any slipping!!!

does anyone know why in 6th gear only on 4-2 setting why my clutch slips momentarily and then grips back???

And why does TST limit the boost reading to only 40psi. They should've designed their system to NOT read the stock boost reading and instead made an external line that taps into the vacuum lines to read boost independent of the stock boost reading!!!

 

I think because of the high wind factor, and the higher the gear the easier it is to slip a clutch

I have the same truck, have the guageless TST about a month now,

mine seems to run out of fuel at 3-3 at wide open throttle, kind of stutters and unconsistant black smoke, think it just needs FASS, yours doesn't BLKHO600

at 2-2 pulls 14000pds incredibly well, got up to 1200 deg pre

not balsy enough to kept above 2-2 yet

1-0 great for mileage with the pig 600s, got about 19 US, hand figured

 

Yea, mine doesn't slip when shifting in the lower gears. It's only in 6th, and a little in 5th it slips. You just learn to feather it a little more in 6th.

 

Hey BlueDually check your fuel filter. Mine was doing the same thing where you get the fuel surge . My pressure would drop to 4 psi when I dropped the hammer . I changed out my filter and all was good on 3 x 3. Now it hovers around mid 5.
