TST Dyno # for Calif. S.O.

Went to Dyno Day at Imler Diesel In Sacramento today and did a few runs
First run 5-5 came in @ 368.4hp and 808.5 Ft lbs torque

SECOND RUN SET BOX @ 6-5 (in a poor attemp to manage EGT)
Came in @390.1Hp and 879. Ft lbs torque

Third run set @4-4 came in @ 321.7HP and 768Ft lbs

Fourth run set 3-3 came in @ 305.0HP and 729.5Ft lbs

And last run was at 0-0 to check what my Calif truck is stock with only AFE intake And free flow exhaust

0-0 came in at 185.8Hp and 404.6Ft lbs Torque

TST claims 150hp 500ft lbs torque with this box
With Calif truck eng timing being so far behind HO trucks I believe this box has bigger gains on SO p.u. due to timing issues

As you can see above a 204Hp increase and a 475Ft lbs torque increase over stock and that was only on 6-5 setting
Looking at another post of HO Dyno run with TST box on the HO H.P. #s are higher but Torque is lower
All I know is I cant stop SMILING

Wow! That's impressive. 48re or 5 speed? Gauges I hope. Looking forward to increased power myself. This may be the route to take. What year? Miles? Any codes with box?

Wow... those numbers are just awsome. I wonder how good the other boxes work on the California Models? Only other dyno's I have seen of California truck are the Banks 6 Gun that baselines about the same as your truck at 182 and makes a gain of 80hp to take it to 263hp. Looks like TST has BANKS beat by 128hp on power level 6. I wonder how others compair.

First off, thanks for the info. I figured the box would help the SO more. It just makes sense. I just got back from a run to Dumont Dunes in Kalifornia. There are some of the bigger hills and mountains to climb. My trailer was probably under 11k and my stock SO does pretty good. I do 70 most of the time and 80 mph is possible. There is a couple places it drags me down to 50mph with the auto in second. My average for the 400 mile trip was 8.6mpg on the 'puter. I've got just over 18k miles on the truck now and love it. I want the TST but I also want my warranty. I doubt I'll make the summer without getting a box. TST is the only one I am considering. Used with a care, I think it's the easiest one on the equipment. Banks hammers the fuel system.

By the way, what were your EGT's???

miss it

Dang , I missed your run , would have loved to have seen a common rail run , I was there but the wife wanted to head to the Asparagus festival in Stockton , good looking numbers there . I was at the Dream Machine show today watching the Tractor pulls there , there was only one Extreme diesel , it was a second gen with twin turbos , ran pretty good pull.
