Tst
Tst
why would a dealer need production date of your truck to buy one (TST box)?
I dont need one, just wondering if TST figured out something by production date.
I still set the occasional crank sensor code and still have the 1100 rpm miss
my last reflash was about a year ago
also Ive been away from this site for about three months, so just catching up on what all has happened
something must have changed cause I see AK RAM is running TST again
he was having the same problems as I only worse and switched brands last time I was around here

Hi bud....boy, you have been gone a while!
They now offer a separate version for the 03 trucks. It is their very first, original program that was originally written on their 03 SO engine. They finally realized that all of the changes they have made over the years to make the program run on the 04.5s and 05s makes it perform less than optimal on the 03s. Yep, they had one program they used on all trucks from 03 to 05. Since it is very aggressive (remember all the blown turbos when it first came out), they are calling it their "03 Twins Program". You have to specifically ask for it or you will get the standard program that they use on all trucks.
I haven't asked in a while, but I suppose they could now offer it with the weaker fueling map. Just have to give them a call and see.
I don't see that B1 in your signature. What happened to that venture?

Does that mean TST finally acknowledges all the code and/or driveability issues that early 3rd gen owners (like myself) experienced, rather than saying, "we've never seen that before and it runs fine on our trucks - must be operator error"?

Yeah right. It would appear, but they haven't came out and said anything to that effect. The company line is the original program performs much better on the 03s than the current program and simply left it at that. I'm just glad they finally made it available. I can't count the conversations I had with Mark and Brad trying to get a copy of the original program to see if my problems went away. They haven't been offering it very long and I haven't tried it myself. I'm outside the U.S. right now and look forward to trying it next summer, but there are people using it and the word on the street is the 03 owners will finally be happy.
So are you going to test it out for us?
hey AK
that B1 is a long sad story
Ive owned that turbo for almost two years
paid too much for it (was used)
it was shipped to me either two or three times before I finally got it
didnt receive it for almost a year after I bought it
it sat on my shelf till last week
sent it to Industrial Injection to be updated to something useable on my 03
the plan originally was to make twins out of it, so it was less than optimal for use as a single
just had a baby boy on tues
been at the hospital all week
nice to be home now
soo is that 03 twins program supposed to get rid of the 1100 rpm miss? and the crank code problem

talked to Mark @ TST yesterday, I was gonna buy another module with the 03 twin program so I had two to play with
he said I wouldnt be happy with the 03 twins program unless I was running twins
he recommended I stay with the program I have already, which works well just the occasional code and hiccup (not enough of a problem to switch brands)

I want to play around with the Juice for a while and so far I am very pleased with it. However, I am finding some interesting "things" with it, but no where near bad as my TST experience. I think the "things" with it stem from the fuel pressure part of the 305/555 Juice equation and/or the fact I'm running injectors with it (since the Juice or any other box for that matter is probably prgrammed around boxes with stock injectors).
So far I only correspond with just one tech there who actually responds to my emails ASAP so I don't have to keep explaining myself! It's also kind of nice having Edge 3-hours down the interstate too since I can pretty much get my Juice turned around in a day!
