I was wondering if anyone has done truck pulling with a 555 and a Edge EZ. I usually run my truck on 3 daily and pull my trailors with no effort what so ever( up tp 10,000 lbs). Well, last night I pulled at the local fair and I decided to put her on 4 and I don't think I was getting as much power to the ground. Was beat by a few Strokes . So I guess I am just wondering what setting to you guys typically run at.

 

Your stock tranny probably was slipping due to needing all your power up front on that heavy sled pull.

 

I know I am the only one, but I think that the EZ doesn't make any low end HP (or less) on level 4 then it does on level 3. It probably has more up top, but I don't think it does anything down low. For that very reason (and lack of in-cab adjustability) I sold my EZ and went with a different box....

Now when I hit a big hill towing, I just keep my foot in it and turn the **** (power) down until my EGT's stay at a acceptable limit and let'er roll on.

I can't imagine your tranny not being able to hold up to the EZ, especially if you where breaking traction....

Also take your boost elbow off and see if you get a little better low end (mine did) but your ETG's will be a tad bit higher.
