truck dies

ok thanks for the replys yesterday about my problem is probably the lift pump the problem was i would drive it a couple of miles and it would die then i could either it 2 times and it would go ahead and run after the second time ive drove the thing about 30 miles and its run good
so i did the turn the key off 3 times deal and received a code of PO628 does anyone know what this means
and if it is the lift pump what should that cost and where is it located so i could change it myself

if this is showing low voltage is the pump bad or do i have other issues

Yes, that is one of the LP codes. What year truck do you have? If it is 03 to 04.5 then the LP is on the back on the fuel filter cansister unless it has been moved to the tank previously. How many miles on the truck and do you know the in-service date. That will tell us if it is under the 7/100,000 miles engine warranty.

my truck is a 03 ive noticed when i turn the key on that i dont hear the pump running anymore but i hear a ckicking noice didn't realize it might have the warranty ill try to find out when the inservice date is what does the pump look like

The clicking noise is the vaccum pump right behind the passenger side battery. If it starts running all the time, then you have a vaccum leak and your cruise will not work properly. This is only for the 03-04.5 trucks. The 05' and above are drive by wire.
