Transfer Flow 70 Gal Aux tank

Anyone get/install one of these yet? I've been thinking and looking for a while about this one.

http://www.transferflow.com/html/new...ry_system.html

Yes, I've seen the other brands and models available. I dont need a toolbox, and don't like how diamondplate looks.

Curious to hear how people have liked it so far and what they paid for installation? Thanks!

Lightman,

I don't have that tank, but I do have the 74 gallon wedge tank. I'm just replying to let you know that I think that their products are, if pricey, worth every cent. My system is first class.

Thanks DPG - I have heard their products are great from most everyone that's tried one.

I've been considering the RDS in black Bob, I really don't like diamondplate though. I dont think the transferflow tank is ugly in powdercoated black.. just pretty plain. I would like to check yours out though sometime.

I'm not sure I really need any tool space though, and 70 gals is a LOT more than 41 gals of the RDS.

The 90 is too deep for me to fit my ATV in the short bed The reason I"d like 70 over 41 possibly is because when I move back up north, I have to drive 20-30 mins to get 50 cetane BP diesel supreme. It would be more worth the trip to fill a LOT of the good stuff =]

OK, maybe I'm confused
I thought you guys were looking for a AUX tank and NOT a piece of furniture
It doesn't have to look good to do the job you are getting it for and that's hold MORE fuel so you get more miles between fillups

A suggestion...get a custom tank built to replace your spare and plumb the filler in beside the factory one.
Put your spare where you would put the bed tank.
You could do a real nice stealth tank with lots of fuel in the spare spot.

Butchera thats nice, but for long bed only

SuperGewl - if everything was purely about function and not fashion we'd all be driving big , square, metal shaped boxes with no paint on them. Maybe even galvanized! Come on man, it's GOTTA look decent!

Butchera...yeah like that except CUSTOM as Lightman needs CUSTOM and CUSTOM will fit the shortbed...Lightman, step outside the 'box' and put a tank under the box where the spare was/is on your truck...it would be larger then the one Butchera posted.

Thanks for posting that one Butchera!

If nothing fits your fancy, have it built.

Scotty, that would be cool - I could just ditch the spare - however I'm not sure of any local custom tank builders, or how much that would cost - sounds expensive. I measured and both the rds and transferflow will fit in my bed with the quad behind it.... I also don't do much hauling of stuff around in the bed - so losing the space won't mean much. This truck is far from a work truck for the most part - aside from occasional towing.
