well before someone else on the board shoots you down and tells you to do a search, i will share with you a PM that Shane shared with me...

I have yet to get what I need, but I will be going with the boost, EGT(pyro pre-turbo), and tranny temp(cause I tow my boat) for my first set... then i might do a second Pyro post-turbo... we shall see how it works out...

1. boost. You can get really good miledge using this guage.. Keeping your boost under 10 psi will yield awesome mpg's.. Don't expect great miledge until you hit 10000 miles.. It takes that long to seat the valves and get her running good. Just got 22.5 with my last tank but have a new turbo now so I am checking it starting tomorrow!!

Pryo.. You can save a turbo with this little live saver.. Simply put keep your temps under 1400 Post turbo and 1150 pre-turbo short quick bursts of 1500 are ok but long bursts and bye bye!!

Fuel pressure will greatly help you out. It can let you know and monitor your fuel system thus the liveline of the beast.. STock fuel system will run 10 psi. It will also let you monitor your lift pump..

I run 6 analog guages and the commander. WHy? A guage is a heck of a lot cheaper than a motor!! And I tow enxtensively.. Almost every day I have a trailer hooked up weither's it my gooseneck flatbed, 30 ft enclosed work trailer or 36 foot 5th wheel. Monitoring your beast will save wear and tear and parts!!

I have a boost, pre-turbo, fuel pressure, tranny temp in the pan, rear diff temp and rail guage in analog guages the commander monitors tranny temps in the test port from dodge, boost (what the actual computer is reading) egt's - post turbo.. It is set to de-fuel so that I don't emplode something.. That is a convience that I like in case I am in traffic and can't have my eyes pegged on the analog gugages of something of that nature..

Congrats again and hope I helped.. If you got question always feel free to ask!!

Shane

I was thinking of something like the Quadzilla Commander. Something with a panel with digital read out of a few guages, are there any other similar setups I should look at?

Go with the commander...it's stand alone and will work with any power adder if you choose to go that route in the future....plus quadzilla's got awesome support and frequents these boards....

Been thinking about the commander myself...For you fellows who have installed how would you rate difficulty? Anyone want to share their start to finish times on installing a commander?
