Tired of Cracked Injectors!! Who Makes most reliable Aftermarket?
I've had my F1 Flux 1s as long as probably anyone else on this board (since May 2005), and I've haven't had a hint of a problem with them. Slightly better mileage, MUCH better midrange and top end power, better spool, and only a little more smoke. I don't run any downloader, but I crank the MP8 while racing. I don't think I'd get a set of sticks from anywhere else.
Alright...
I've decided to go with the Formula 1's...
I don't currently have an upgraded CP3.. (Floor-It Diesel won't call me back!) but plan to get one ASAP.
I also haven't decided what Turbo to purchase. But an aftermarket turbo will be on the truck as soon as these problems get lined out.
Should I get the Stage 1's, 2's or Hellfires??
I don't mind exessive smoke.. I actually kind of like it... But Excessive EGT's are no good.
This is a tow rig during the summer so keep that in mind.
Thanx Guys!

I think for towing you are going in the right direction with the flux 1's ,, stay with a smaller turbo, like the sps 6280,, not too laggy, a killer when you are towing. With that combo, and the proper fueling boxes, you will be in the 500's rwhp. The 6280 is a really nice turbo, I am getting 55 psi with mine, good egt levels. and very fast spooling.

Thanx For the Advice!
Is there anyway I can get away with running the flux 2's though?? Or would I be over doing it..
It's so awesome when we get the trailer to the track.. Unload the car, unhitch the trailer, and then take the tow rig down the track for a blistering pass.

Dang this thread got out of hand quick...
NEway...
1) Dealer has already reflashed for the white smoke on start-up. No Dice.
2) Been back there 4 times for these problems... Only want to clean injectors and stuff back in.
3) Dealer is now trying to play the "We will no longer warranty anything on your truck!" card because of my Fuel System.
So... I'm taking it into my own hands and going to fix the problem.
Yes you guys are correct about the fact that cracked injectors normally fill the crank case with fuel..
But I'm at a loss as to what to do next.. Everything on the truck checks out fine..
Except for some kind of fueling issue. I can't see anything being wrong with my injection pump causing these problems..
Don-M - Your Inbox is full.. Could you PM me a number or somethin' so I could talk with you.
Thanx Guys.. I appreciate the input. Although I'm even more confused now than ever.
Anybody know a good shop in the Mid Missouri area!??!

Failures of the injectors is rare in the 03-04 trucks when compared to the 04.5 and up. The direct reason for this is pressure related in the newer system. Cruise pressure and WOT pressure is much lower in the 03-04.
Here are some numbers:
03-04 idle is 5300 PSI and 04.5 and up is 7000
03-04 cruise is 12,000 PSI and 04.5 and up is 17,000
03-04 WOT builds slowly to 23,000 and the 04.5 and up can go over 25 K
The best insurance for no failure is to change the fuel filter often.
White smoke in the winter is common and not really a mechanical problem per se. Plugging the truck in helps the smoke a ton.
If you need to contact someone about injectors, I have dealers that take care of sales and technical issues. I just dont have the time to do so.

Yeah.. I know a little white smoke is normal... But not like this...
Shambo - The CP3 is the injection pump that is engine driven and builds the retarded amount of Injection pressure for the injectors. No fueling mods or CP3 mods the CP3 provides about 23000 PSI to the injectors.
Does anybody know where I can get my injector bodies rebuilt as well??
Thanx again!
