For those of you with MagHytec tranny pans

Getting ready to install the tranny pan I've had sitting here for two weeks. The pan came with a cork gasket and the new filter came with a rubber gasket. Just wondering which one I should use during the install. Thanks for the help guys.

I don't have one yet, but I would say rubber gasket. They are not as prone to leaks like the cork gaskets are. This just my experience and my .02.

Stocker should be reuseable also. Save the others for later or if you run into a leak.

Paperwork said not to use the stocker. It was rubber with a stiff core. I used the rubber one that came with the filter and everything looks good. No leaks yet so I'm crossing my fingers. Thanks for the help guys.

My tranny builder put mine on when they built the trans and we reused the stock reuseable gasket and I have had the pan off once after the build and it doesn't leak. I've had bad experiences with cork gaskets even if you torque the bolts properly.

We used the cork gasket. It works well and doesn't leak. Its been off 1 time to change the filter since the trans was installed.

Rubber gasket from Mag Hy-Tec works very well. Reusing gaslets on a vertical tranny pan is not critical but a new gasket is always best!
