Third Injection Event
Lots of talk about this subject and a box developing to turn it off...any news on this? Would sure like to have that wasted fuel stay in my tank when diesel is finally over 2.00 here in IL!

From what I am told VIA TST the third injection event can not be eliminated because it is there to cool the piston. I gather the exhaust is hotter to maintain the cat temps, but it also cools the piston after the main event. Therefor eliminating it is not a good idea. With out it the piston may swell & stick in the bore. ouch !!!
