Does anyone have a sound clip of an 03/04 straight piped? I have a 4" bullydog kit on my 04 but it isnt as deep as I would like it to be so I put on a donaldson muffler and it sounds worse than the bullydog did -- not near as deep. Was thinking about going w/out a muffler but wanted to hear one first before I did. Thanks

 

i wasnt happy with the donaldson either. i am going to try thr hog muffler

 

I heard my first straight piped '03 Cummins yesterday pulling a GN with a tractor on board. I didn't like the sound. Sounded very raspy. Doesn't have the sound like the earlier straight piped Cummins diesels.

I had mine straight piped for a number of months and then went to a straight through resonator from bigexhaust.com and have the tip exit before the rear tire doing away with the axle hump. It sounds a lot better but is not much quiter.

 

These two have an Areoturbine.

Thanks for the sound clip sounds pretty good almost sounds just like the bullydog I had on before went with the donaldson looks like I will be putting the bullydog muffler back on this weekend -- it is a straight through design like the aeroturbine also my turbo boosts up a lot faster with the bullydog than the donaldson (no comparison) pretty bad when even your wife can tell a difference -- thanks again for the replies -- Jeremy
