Stock clutch blues!

Stock clutch blues!
I heard some folks say that the springs in the junk g56 clutch can be replaced. Does anyone know if this is true? Any help would be great.Just want to put the power to the ground.

Yep. Labor's the same. Peter is actually there to talk to. Very patient, friendly man. Don't put any money into/nor replace the stock clutch if you intend to add power.

I would strongly recommend replacing the clutch to a higher quality. Not necessarily the highest priced one either. I took a chance on a lower priced aftermarket clutch and I'm happy with it. It was a little cheaper than a Southbend and some others that are well known. It's your choice but I would not go back with a stock.

I got a SouthBend DD from Lary at the DTR store here. Been very happy with it. Its still a little noisy compared to the stock one, but much quieter and drivable than the other DD that I had.

x2 on the ofe if you don't plan on getting carried away with the mods.Mine is still holding except on the higher Smarty settings.I've got to go to a DD but I'm gonna miss the stock pedal feel and no noise of the ofe.

Slips in 5th and 6th with the Smarty on anything over 5.Been runnign it on 3 for a few months now so I can resale the clutch when I upgrade. Haven't put the truck on the rollers since the latest round of mods.I have flux 2's so theres enough fuel for 700hp with twins, but would guess a very hot 550-600hp with the 62/71/13ss
