Stock 48re tranny questions
I would do it. In your original post you indicated you were experiencing shifting problems. There was a TSB on your tranny, I don't know the number but the resolution was to replace the gov. solenoid and transducer. I did mine too. Dropping the pan doesn't happen very often so you might as well do it while you’re in there. Who knows, it might be another 46k miles before you get around to it again.
On a totally different note have you thought about flushing your brake fluid? I just learned it should be changed about every 2 yrs. depending on conditions and fluid used.

I think I will do the solenoid and transducer but may hold off a bit more - just had my hours cut today so money is going to get even thinner. This economy sucks. Never heard of flushing brake fluid. I would probably only consider doing it when its time for brakes. I did read about changing the power steering fluid, suck it out with a small pump or turkey baster... Uses ATF so I will do that when doing tranny and transfer case.
