stacks SS or Chrome

I am in the process of ordering stacks, I was going with a grand rock kit which I believe is chrome(thats what Im being told anyway) but they dont have them in stock, so MBRP is my other option and they are available but are 304 SS. Any drawbacks? My current exhaust is 304 SS and looks great, so Im leaning toward the MBRP I just want to make sure it is as good a setup as the grand rock as I have heard nothing but good things about Grand Rock. Any thoughts on these kits?

I hope this makes her loud again, since the twins shes sounded a little anemic...

I don't think you can mirror stainless up as much as chrome, unless you chrome the stainless, but stainless will last forever. I prefer the satin finish of stainless over mirror of chrome anyway, just because incidents happen, and something that isn't prefectly mirrorlike with a mark on it, dosn't look as crappy as something that is mirror finished and marked. But that's just me. I've got kids and they love to muck anything and everything that is the least bit clean. Windows, mirrors, chrome, clean floors. The world is a handy wipe to them.

The only downfall is that stainless scratches pretty bad.

They had the kit in from Grand Rock today, but the stacks were ordered through MBRP. I went by to take a look and it looks very nice, its got a new 5" down pipe, 5" intermediate pipe, with the 5" Flex, and the T and all the other pipes are 5". So it will be a true 5" system with 6" stacks. I was under the impression most systems were 4". So Im very happy with it and I think it will make my truck loud, atleast I hope so .

I just ordered my stacks as well. 6"x36" mitre cuts. Waiting to get the pipe that sits in the bed. I call it a splitter. I need to go ahead and get a cutout so I can have a choice.

Rye, have you had any trouble with the NoVa Boys in Blue concerning the stacks? I'm just outside Chantilly.

Not yet but I do keep any eye out for them, and at stop lights I make sure to dive behind cars so I dont have to be beside them. The only place I am sure you would get a tickett is Fairfax city. I got one with my Silverline exhaust with the muffler in place, OMG it was quiet compared to the stacks. I also have tint thats a shade to dark on the front, so as stated I try to avoid them. They ussually dont care about trucks but stacks attract attention.
