stack vibrations
Loud stacks
looking to put single stack,
How loud are is it with the average muffler and is the drone really(or more)noticable
Do they vibrate bad being hard mounted.
doing it moslty for looks and added performance.
right now i have a 4" stock system with no muffler or cat. ( to loud for kids)

Stacks are loud. I'm currently trying to find a muffler that works on the noise.Space is limited on what length muffler will fit. I currently run a resonator and the noise levels are still to much. They will vibrate my rear view mirror and sliding back window terribly.Size and style has alot to do with it.I ran 5" aussies for a year and the noise was much more tolerable. These 6" miters are much deeper and the noise seems to "bounce" off the back glass, but I do have them set flush with the cab.I would think a longer stack(clear the cab heigth) would be quieter.
style always comes at a price. Having a Mohawk as a kid I thought was "cool" but people would stare and laugh. My single stack gets the same reaction. But now if they do it to much I just get in front and smokem out. I'm such a child.
I get more compliments from 50+ year old guys than people my on age(36).They will break necks in town.I catch more people gazing at them.Don't know what there thinking but it sure gets the looks.Only a hot pink paint job would draw more attention!!!
I left the cat on mine (for now) and they really arent all that loud. I mean they are somewhat loud, you can deffinately hear it comin, but its not terribly loud. Sounds pretty dang good IMO. I dont have any drone to speak of...
