Spray-in bed liners...
I worked a summer job at Rhino Liners some years back and they used a grinder get down to bare metal on at least 50% and at least scuff up the remainder of the bed. After that, they would wipe the entire bed with acetone a few times before and after masking the truck and once more before going into the booth for the spray procedure. I worked there for 3 months and never saw or heard of any vehicle coming back with any problems with the stuff.
I had a rhino sprayed in my truck. It should have been called a deerskin liner. That thing was paper thin. I took it back and they re-sprayed it but now you can see a line where they stopped, about four inches up the side wall. He said it will blend in once it gets hot, it hasn't yet. It cost me $425 under the rail. I think next time I will try a Line-x and have the fold flat sprayed also.
There are two problems with rhino:
1. They don't put a UV protectant in the product itself, it's applied afterwards on top so the bed liner will eventually fade.
2. The texture is like a grinding wheel which makes it more difficult to clean than the others because it locks dirt in. Some people like it because it keeps your cargo from shifting, but I would rather tie it down and have a decent looking bedliner.
I have the Permatech bed liner and it's like orange peal in texture and has a UV protectant mixed in so it shouldn't fade.

Hey schu,
That is interesting about the u.v. When I had mine sprayed on in Kalifornia the owner mixed the u.v. protector in with the spray?Eigther way for me I have a cap over the sprayed bed so the sun doesn't bother me. I find the variable technique concerning because that tells me people aren't sure about application procedure.

Well at least that is the way the local guy did it.... and everyone around here with a rhino has fading, I think they look like dirt and the local dealer was a real jerk on the phone so I passed.
