SPA Digital Gauges

In trying to figure out my gauge delima, and whether or not I want to do a pillar and dash mount to accomodate all my gauges, I've been wondering about the SPA Digital gauges. I know that you can get the dual digital gauges, and they're a bit more pricey than the ISSPRO or Autometer gauges. In anyone running two dual SPA gauges with EGT, Boost, Tranny Temp & Fuel Pressure? I'm not sure if they make all of those together in dual setups, but if they do I'm assuming that's another (albeit more expensive) way that I could get by with a two gauge pillar pod and still get all my readouts. Anyone?

I am using the SPA's in my truck for over 200k miles. I have had no problems with the senders. Still the original senders. I have had a couple of the backlights go out. However I have heard that a couple years ago they fixed that issue. However not positive on that.

The back light is out on my SPA gauge and they want $100.00 to fix it. Thats why I may try the Dakota gauges the next go around.

Did you repair your backlights?

Is this a fix that one could do on their own?

Have you looked at Glowshift?

http://www.glowshiftdirect.com/3-in-...-readings.aspx

They have Boost, EGT and trans temp all in one.

Its a 2 3/8 gauge, but you can make it fit the 2 1/16 hole.

I like the gage although I would prefer the EGT as the analog face. But its still a great value.

I don't have any of their gauges, but their customer service seems to be top notch. When talking to them they fix and change things for you.

I emailed them and told me they were working on an analog EGT version but had no delivery date.

Heres a thread on the cummins forum with lots of pictures

Thanks for the link I will look into this company as well. I like having the output function of the SPA gauges. You could hook them to a relay controlling a fan ect...

Spa

I went through 3 sets of SPA's before I gave up on them. This was about 5 yrs ago. The back light would go out first and then they would completely die

I had e-mailed Mcnally Electronics about their dual gauges, but they weren't too serious about making them in white to match the CTD.

I like those but boost only goes to 30 PSI. Seems silly.

Mcnally will do the gauges with whatever ranges and units on them you want. If they'd make one that matched our trucks I'd buy one.

Do they only do black face?

What are the colors listed? Just the lettering color?

That's the problem, they only come with black face and white letters. They'd look fine in the Jetta with red illumination, but not in the third gen CTD.
