digital SPA - or - Regular Di Pricol

Can't decide on which ones to get.. Dual digital SPA guages ... could have both a pre and post turbo EGT .. on one gauge... and a boost and trans or oil presure/fuel presure... Or a factory look of white face Di Pricol gauge set..

SPA
Di Pricol

I strongly suggest not going with an electrical gauge. I had 4 dakota digitals (FP, boost, egt, trans temp) and I replaced the fp sender 4 times (actually caused me to buy a fuel pump I didn't need) and the boost gauge sender was bad. EGT and trans temp are doing OK as far as I know (I thought the same about the other two) They are getting replaced by ISSPRO's by tuesday.

I have used the SPA gauges for 120k now and they still work well. I have had two problems with them. The first was my fault where I spliced the trans gauge wires to make the harness longer. I apparently didn't do a good job of splicing and had to redo it about 50k ago. The only other problem I have had was a couple of the backlights went out. Called SPA they said send them in and they fixed them. All of my senders are still working fine (knock on wood) my fp gauge I do use a needle valve though.

I'm using the SPA as well. I just got an extra pressure sender and hooked it up to an banjo bolt. So whenever I get the urge to check fuel pressure I just go move the boost section of the gauge to the fuel pressure sender and it reads fp directly. the SPA senders are pretty robust. so far I dont think they suffer from all the bad press of other senders. they shouldn't -- theyr're $100 a pop.

There is no more accurate nor faster EGT gauge on the planet. they use the same type of temperature compensation circuit that Fluke uses in their instruments. its dead on accurate. zero error. none.

stored maximums, external alarms. complete flexibility for resolution, digits displayed, etc. yum

can't answer the sourcing question. I got mine from Spa technique themselves. I will say that fuel pressure jumps around a bit -- because the sensor is very fast. But you have a lot of control over both resolution and averaging, so it works out nicely. BTW, my SPA pressure sender has been hooked up to my CP3 for 6 months now without failure. that doesn't set any records of course; I just think this sensor may be of a differnet breed than the others out there that seem to fail. For the price I'd say it better be . The CP3 inlet is a very pulsy fuel source. you have to snub it with a few feet of hose, and even then you have to use the resolution and averaging features of the instrument.

The driver side A-pillar from the SRT-10 ram. It has a factory gauge on the A-pillar and it allows you to keep the grab handle. Its a factory part.

Uh oh! Looks like I wandered into the 3rd gen Ram discussion after doing a search for gauge threads. I was going to say, "My Ram doesn't have a driver side grab handle in the first place!"
