so whats in the britebox box?

it really cant be complicated to make your own, so Im curious if they have a combination of resistors and relays or what?

for those that have made their own britebox, it seems that some have a light out warning and some dont correct? For those that do, can you please indicate your method, perhaps that is the difference (which side, which wire, etc).

Are any of you running a resistor, or is it not a big deal?

Um...it is complicated...

It is worth your pennies to just buy one.

I have run them for 4 years. Works great!

They replaced it ddn't they?

You have to mount them where they don't get HOT!

Pretty sure this was a problem. I remember Geno's stopped selling them after so many were coming back in for the 06s. I have a bud with an 04 that had them and they worked great, and he was the one that introduced them to me. But after hearing about the issues in the 06s, I've waited to find out what was going on. That was well over 1 year ago though, so things could have changed bu now.

Brite Box

I have had 2 sets so far, one on an 01 and now on my 07. Both have performed perfectly and were a great addition to the truck. Like the previous post stated, mount them in a cool location on the firewall (no near the engine)

I just have such a hard time payin 250 bucks for some wiring.

SO has anyone taken apart the little black box on theirs that has broken? Or can you take it apart without damaging it?
