Smoke Switch for TST

Would any of you guys that did the quad smoke switch look and see what wires on the motor side of the map senser you taped into. Which wire on the motor map plug does the dark blue wire on the quad plug into and the same for the red wire. I bet thats about as clear as mud but I hope someone understands, I want to try this with my TST. Thanks Joel

Without looking, I would be willing to bet that they go to the same color wire on the MAP sensor on the motor. If I get a chance to look I will...

A "smoke switch" is a toggle switch that you put in the cab. When you flip the switch, the MAP sensor reads full boost and the chip gives max fueling to put out a lot more smoke. It's something you can do at an intersection or whenever you want to smoke someone out. You can't drive around with it on and it doesn't come with the chip. Only use it for short periods of time (5-10 seconds) and you have to make it up..... That's what I've heard anyways.....

That is exactly right. I does not smoke alot, but enough to P.O. some people with thier window down or a passing bike rider.

I just went and looked and the stock harness has a pink, green and two blue wires. I haven't the foggiest idea on which one is the one you want. I know the smoke switch works off a .5vdc and 5vdc supply that you toggle the 5vdc to the .5vdc to give the box a "Full Boost" signal. Maybe if you locate which one is which then you could put one together. But as I said before I have no clue...

From a dead stop I can loose the car behind me for approx 3-5 sec. Once I build boost it goes away. The smoke is thick and "BLACK".

How do you check the voltage, let the truck run, or just key on?

I would say that with the key on, you should be able to find the 5vdc wire.'
According to my Commander install instructions the wire on the map sensor is pin "D", or the blue wire on the far right side of the plug. Put the toggle switch between the 5vdc wire and the pin"D" wire. Again this is all just guessing, hopefully someone might chime in and give some other imput.

with my quad race, stacked with my smarty, and the turbo, and my lack of exhaust, hit the smoke switch, goodbye intersection.
