Smarty won't work after new ECM installed

I just had my ECM replaced under warranty because of a check engine light which was a waste for them because the problem was the cam sensor all along. But they didn't want to put my old ECM back in which is no big deal.

But now when I plugged my Smarty back in to download a program it won't work...and Yes I did put everything back to stock before I took it to the shop.

Can anyone help me?
Justin

Do you get error messages? How far does it get?

I can't get past the first part to connect and it says something like Smarty won't connect.

Can you check your smarty in someone elses truck, just to make sure it's ok? Don't need to program just to see if it will communicate. checking for codes would do.

Have you downloaded the new marty files for the 06+ updates? The latest files for compatibility are on the MADS site and are needed if you have had a dealer flash your ECU to the current level Dodge reccomends. I would guess your new ECU now has updates and the Smarty needs the neew files.

I last updated the Smarty last summer.

I have a buddy with same year truck (used my Smarty on his truck before) and will see if it works on his truck. Good idea.

Get back with info shortly.

New Smarty files have the latest Dodge update that your Smarty program from last year doesn't have. Just update and you'll be laughing...
