Smarty vs Edge vs Bully Dog vs Banks
I mean, you don't have to wait... Get the smarty... er... I mean... get what you want. You either get supporting mods, or you pay for trans and engine failure when you turn it up with out them. That's any tuner that makes more than 75hp, not just the smarty.
Have you picked out gauges? You need a boost, pyro, and FP at the bare minimum, and I would also get a RP. For fuel, you'll need an AD 150 or similar, (I hear a lot of people talking about these crank driven pumps, mutsa or something like that), either some tranny upgrades (billet flexplate, TC, VB, billet input, billet output (if 4wd) ), or a new tranny, a CP3 upgrade, just a DIY stage 3 from wicked diesels, I think that they are 250 or so, will do.
If you're ready for a new turbo, I'd say go with twins off the bat. ($$$) Then you can get some bigger injectors, while you're in there doing that, head studs and stiffer springs. Still bigger? We can put a cam in it, and O-ring it while we're in there.
Still more? Twin CP3's, some spray, ladder bars, a roll cage, deck the block and head, throw some fire rings in there, lower compression ceramic coated pistons... man, don't get me started!
Countryboy...
why are you making me work?

Oh, by the way... before you buy anything, please ask me about it.
John has great prices on labor and hard parts, but his programmers are through the roof. (not his fault, it's the dealers that he gets them from.)
I would call Lary about anything I wanted to buy, he gets pretty good prices, tell him we live near each other (and you have truck envy over my truck) and we're buddies, he might even knock off another 5% or so... (or tack it on !

thanks mad.... im still gonna wait at least a month so i can build up that bank account..haha! there so many things i want to do to that truck it is unbelievable! have you been in kilwins anytime lately?
back to the original question:
for me i ran the edge HOT on my 03 for about 50k miles, fairly happy with it until my truck would quit running at very in opertune times ( pullin into traffic, etc. . ) the power was there.
i switched over to the smarty and have not have not been impressed so far (power wise) BUTTTT its my fault i am just running the default tunes until i get the mods neccessary to crank it up and download the "good" tunes. .
i feel the smarty will dominate when i couple it with the appropriate goodies. unless someone thinks i can download the "smaller good tunes" without grenading my motor.

RAMBUNCTIOUS,
Looking at your sig you shouldn't have any issues cranking up the SMARTY. I'm running the REVO on level 9 and I still have a stock clutch. The power is excellent and smooth for daily driving. Towing I have to be careful so I don't slip the clutch.
