I just noticed the Smarty software was updated on 10/1. Anyone know the changes?

Hopefully they made some changes to the timing rattle problem that some people have!!!! That would be great!!!! I love my SMARTY except for the RATTLE!!!

How is it and have you taken it for a blast down Iron Mt. road yet.

I'm kinda scarred to update it since I have the orignal program and it runs great.

Would I be able to put it back if I dont like it?

Bob pm'ed me on Comp diesel and told me that it was the speed limiter program. Not sure if any other little tuning was done.

Is your original file on computer? If so, then no problem going back and forth. If you are just talking about the one that was loaded on smarty when you bought it, that was stock inj/stock turbo with mild TQ. You can download that from the site and load that if that is what you want. I'm certain the programming is close to the same/ if not the same I'm sure improved/ so you can have the speed limiter stuff and not lose anything you have now. If you are not comfy with that, what date did you buy the smarty? I might have that program already downloaded here and can forward it.

Actually it is a nice long straightaway in the mountains about a 4% grade the Old Mormon Immigrant Trail also known as Iron Mountain Road...

OK! It works!!! I set it for 130 mph. Going up the hill I hit 121 when the power fell off at 3500 rpm. My previous best was 114-115.

This is great stuff! Way to go MARCO!!!

Now all I need is new cam + springs + new 4100 rpm Smarty program...
