I don't have the pressure built into the TST. I'm thinking about getting a smarty to stack on the TST. I was just wondering what settings everybody runs the Smarty and TST on without too much timing rattle?

Well every truck is little different and you have twins, where as I have big single.

I would keep the MP8 and set it to 10-40%, to use with TST/Smarty stack. For daily driving I run my EZ on level 1, TST 05tt program on 3/1 with timing at 12* Auto and Smarty on SW #4(90hp no timing). That seems to be a good daily driver stack for me. Plenty of power if I want and fairly good mileage. Track is EZ on Level 2, TST 03tt program 3/2 with timing at 15* Auto and Smarty on SW #6 or #8(which ever runs better).

I can't adjust my timing on my TST. I have the straight R49 and I'm hesitant to change it since so many other 06's have had problems.

I'll have to get the book out and see what timing is for each setting I guess.

I'm really wanting the smarty to get fueling sooner. Test drove my truck with my brothers Smarty and it definately worked very nice. Just wanna see how much I can turn it up.

What TST program do you have?

I would say if you had 03TT...

Start with SW4, TST 3-1, MP-8 40-50%.

If you have 05TT or the regular program...try 4-1 or 5-1.

If you had a rail gauge you could find the limit of your cp3 more easily.

I just have the regular program cuz I didn't know what turbo setup I'd end up with at the time. A rail pressure gauge is in my future.

I just don't want to mess anything up when I add the smarty to the mix.

Thanks for your help.

Keegan.

The regular program will work too...

Try SW 4 or 6 with the TST set on 5-2...MP-8 on 40-50%.

Rock on.

Your going to love the bottom end...

Too bad you don't have an auto...the Smarty shines even more then.

You can update the TST R49 to the latest which will include the 4 different programs, cool down timer, EGT and Boost defueling options and timing control options. If your serial number is over 5000 you can also get the Rail Pressure gauge and pressure options. It is well worth the upgrade and you can run the exact same program and settings you do now, until you get your upgrades or get brave.

I'm reluctant to upgrade to all the new goodies since my TST has been flawless. I've read nothing but problems of TST and '06s so I think I might be asking for trouble changing it. I've test drove my truck with I think the 30 HP smarty(no timing) loaded and the increase in torque down low was great. I just want to get the most out of the smarty without damaging anything or losing horsepower. If I get the smarty, I probably won't have time to dyno it before hitting the track at TheRock.
