With my mod's listed will a boost fooler be needed?

 

with the smarty you shouldn't need a boost fooler just download the updated software for the smarty with the aftermarket turbo and it will disable the electric wastegate. www.madselectronics.com

I have the aftermarket turbo w/ stock injectors downloaded. I was just wondering because of the silver 62 not having an electrical connection any more. II supplied a resistor to plug into stock plug. Just wondering if i needed to "fool" some more for the silver 62 and it's potential. I do not know what it is set at from II.

 

TST has a boost fooler built in. Just plug the resistor in and you should be good to go!

 

yeah but the TST will only fool it up to 40 psi the smarty will disable the electric wastegate completely and allow you to run what ever pressure without tripping a code.

Really, I didnt know that. Mine boosts to 50+ but it must be because of the Quad X2.

yeah i have the tst/smarty stack and looking at doing a cam and twins in the next year.

 

The TST will do boost fooling at least to 60psi, that I know for sure. The TST can only display boost up to around 40psi, but that does not mean it is not boost fooling much higher. With my II SPS66 (with supplied jumper installed) and TST/EZ stack I can open the wastegate that is set at 55psi for a lot of the time down the track.
