I have owned both the triple dog and the smarty. I like the smarty pretty well. the only dislikes I have on the smarty is there is alot of rattle from the motor on cold days and when the engine is cold. I dynoed my trk with the smarty only and it dynoed 461 on a load cell dynojet. I was pretty pleased with that. that was stock turbo/injectors/cp3. no pressure boxes or anything.
there is a hot program in the works for the smarty that has more power than scary larry that was posted on here so it should run really well. I didnt get as much smoke with the triple dog and it ran hotter on the egts. I run my smarty on level 9 constantly and the throttle is not as sensitive as crazy larry either. I hope any of this helps you. my trk is an 06.5 basically so you shouldnt have issues with your 07.

OK you no lowend. How do you think the SMARTY is going to help Do they have the lowend power option? Mine felt the same as what your talking about seems kind of slugish on bottom seems like you have to wait on the TURBO to spool. (Mine doesent feel that way no more)

There both great downloaders and your gonna get many different feedbacks from everyone. In my opinion the triple dog is the greatest thing i bought and since i put crazzy larry on there its even beter and i just got my outlook installed yesterday and all the features from change power levels on the fly set the truck to defuel when temps get to high and other different options. Good luck to ya

Okay, maybe I'm missing something here, if you already have the triple dog, why would you 'bag the bully dog' and go out and buy a Smarty without at least trying Crazy Larry¿

Either way, BD or Smarty on the higher levels you'll wanna save some of your refund for a clutch, especially running those tires.

If it was me, I'd try CL before doing anything and save my tax refund for a new South Bend clutch

I started out with a Smarty and then bought a Triple Dog after some problems with line pressure (way too low) after installing a Goerend VB/TC.

The smarty worked great when I had it, but I hated having to stop and turn the truck off to change the power levels.

I love the TD because I can adjust the power options on the fly within seconds.

On the other hand, the beta programs coming out for the smarty look sweeeeet. Hopefully BD will upgrade their programs so the TD owners aren't too far behind. The new VA shows some promise too!

Yah, changing on the fly is cool, I leave mine plugged in and sitting in one of those slots in the dash near the radio when I wanna 'experiment' with the settings, handy for when some kid pulls up in a lowered Honda at a light trying to pass you on the right!

One thing I found out though, the engine HAS to be running to change the settings, I changed them while waiting for my wife at the store when it wasn't running. Found out when I fired it up it didn't change after all.

Triple Dog is pretty cool...
