Smarty....stock vs mild tm?

I just installed the smarty on my truck, right now I am running the stock tq management, which from what I understand defuels during shifts. How does the mild differ from that? Also does it determine how it fuels based of boost levels.....Like stock doesn't fuel until 10psi where as mild might fuel at 7psi? Just guessing, I dont' know...... Any info on the different levels would be appreciated. Also I don't plan on running over level 3 on either stock or mild tm, would just a vb be a good idea, as I don't wanna spring for a fully built trans right now. Thanks.

You should be safe with the mild TM at level 3. Just fuels a little harder in the lower rpm range.

I've run both mild TM and stock TM. My main reason to move to stock TM and aftermarket injectors program was to eliminate smoke.

To me the mild TM/stock injectors program was too touchy. I had to watch to make sure I didnt smoke everything out. This wasn't really a problem with me, but I didn't want to attract that much attention to me and the truck.

The stock TM/aftermarket injector program removed almost all of the smoke issues I had. I think its perfect for me because I can still lay a good cloud out but I'm not watching the mirrors to make sure I'm not smoking bad.

The power difference SOTP was slightly less with the stock TM program. Maybe not total output but I guess there is less snappyness. Of course this can be expected as this program reduces low boost fueling.

I don't know about it defueling during shifts as I have a 6 speed but I've never heard of the Smarty doing this before. I may be wrong though.

great question: I too would like to know the difference in TM levels. This would help in chosing the right level.

I tow heavy, real heavy and run the mod tq management. The stock tq management was a dog and it felt like it wouldn't let the motor rev up and take off creating a lot of smoke it was a turd! Moderate tq management has low smoke and take off running right away! I am running the new 4.11 aftermarket inj and turbo program and a full built trans.

I did try the mild with a stock trans and had no troubles.
