Got my Smarty in the mail on Tues. (Thanks Bob) How do I know what software is loaded on this thing?

 

comes preloaded i thought.... plus it should tell you what settings give you what numbers. i.e. sw5 is 90 hp with additional timing.

 

when you plug it in the first thing that comes up on the screen is what version it is.

 

One more. I see alot of guys running the Beta software. I assume this is not available anymore, or at least it's not preloaded on my Smarty. I didn't see anything about it on the Mads site. I would like to try it though. Anybody ran both? Which one did you like better? What are the differences between the two?

 

i had the program it came with stock, and i sent mine to bob and he loaded the beta4.2 and WOW!

Bobs a busy guy, send him a PM and ask very nicely and he might send it to ya!

Isn't 'Beta' software used kinda like a test deal before the program is finalized and is replaced by the first release of 'production' software?

Im running 4.3 and its way stronger that the what my smarty came with. If you want to run the betas, make sure you have 4.10 and not 4.11. If you have 4.11 dont load it as it has the new Dodge updated software. You will get an unknown software code if you load 4.11 on your truck, and then try to put on a beta.

 

Usually, unless something else in particular is requested, it will come loaded with the latest version of stock injectors/stock turbo/mild TM. The numbers that first pop up and say something like "ver 4.11.... lets you know what you have.

 

4.4 is an awsome program! lower smoke in #3 and #4 not that i care=)
