Exclamation Smarty Problems !!!!!!!!!!

Just Looking For Some Advice.... I An Wondering What Does Everybody Think This Might Be... With My Smarty Turned To Sw9, Tq Mgt 3, Rp 3, Tm 2 While Boosting Up For A Launch I Get A Really Terrible Sound Coming Through The Exhaust And Turbo... Like Its Surging Or Popping... Boost Levels Around 10 Psi And Rpm Around 1800-2000... And Thats With The Ez Off.... If I Turn The Tq Mgt To 2 Or Lower It Seems To Boost Better With Out The Popping Or Surging.... This Is Baffeling To Me... Seems Like It Should Boost Better With The Tq Mgt Off I Would Think ... Has Anybody Else Ever Had Any Problems Like This... Or Similar Problems With Other Tuners/boxes... I Really Hope To Find The Problem Before Something Goes Wrong.... If There Is A Problem Or Is This Normal... Thanks For Any Help On This Matter...

What is your rail pressure? Your popping noise could be low rail pressure or too much timing. I dont see any other boxes in you signature or injectors, so i dont think you have too much timing, but i also dont see any type of CP3 upgrade which it could be a rail pressure problem.

Also Bob and Marco are working on the spooling issues with the smarty.

The "popping" you are describing sounds like you are draining the rail.

I have NEVER had ANY problems with my Smarty on my 2006 at all!

I would suggest giving Bob Wagner a call or P.M. him through this site and he will be glad to help you work through it.

if you have huge injectors your cp3 wont keep up. the only time my truck will cut out is just rev it up setting still and it cuts out but I went with the biggest injector I could support

You are almost defintly draining the rail....get a RP gauge, it is a must have if you are planning on stacking....both my trucks do the same thing on sw9, although I am still using the stock LP's. Also make sure the timing setting you are running is for larger injectors...larger injectors effectively advance the timing + smarty's timing advance = too much!!!
