Smarty problems?

Lately no matter what tune I try, my truck will pop and miss just off idle (low rpm) when it does this it pukes out a lot of white smoke. If I take the smarty back to stock, the problem seems to go away, I have tried TNT/r and the 4.11 software and both will do it.

Bob was supposed to send me the new 5.3 version of the TNT but I have not got it yet. (Bob?)

So I don't know if I have a problem somewhere else and the Smarty just brings it out or what. If anyone has any suggestions I am open to them all!

Thanks again,

Dustin

Doesn't sound like a Smarty prob.

Maybe an injector problem...smarty just amplifies it?

That is kind of what I have been thinking, but I cant get it to do it with just the TST, or the Edge (which ever one I try). I'll load the new software into it tonight and see if that helps.

Thanks for the reply!

does it throw a code?
my TST used to do that at 1100 rpm consistently , it would also throw a crank sensor code
didnt get much for smoke though

My truck has done that too Dustin. On all the Smarty programs. Like you said... it does it off idle and what I've figured it to be is unburnt fuel loading the cylinder. RPM's are down, boost is down but, the fuel's still pumpin'. You hit the peddle and even more fuel is injected. You have decent size injectors with lots of fuel behind them.

I could be completely wrong but, it acts like a 2 stroke bike that gets loaded from cruising too slow, once blown out, all is good.

I used to think it was injectors but, I've had mine out enough times to see it wasn't.
