smarty pod or jr

I'm lookingto get a smarty for my truck. It's an 05 2500 4x4. The only thing I will do to the perfoance is a cold air intake, programmer, and exhaust. That being said should I get the jr or spring for the pod? I don't want to tear anything up on the truck from it having too much power but being stock on the transmission and all. How much fuel mileage increase do you see with either smarty? Ive also heard the banks 6 gun is good, any opinions o that? Thanks

The JR now does Revo and POD. I bought the Jr for the same reasons you outline. Just wanted a little more driveability and more MPG without ripping up my transmission. The question you have to ask is how far do you intend to take the mods on your truck. For me I'll probably not exceed the 70HP setting and don't intend on many more mods, so the JR was all I needed. If you can see yourself beefing up your transmission and getting the bug for more HP then invest in the SR. I've only had the JR for about a week now and love it. It feels like someone removed half the weight from the truck. Haven't run it enough to gauge MPG increases.

also with the new pod sounds like people with the sr are having problems figuring out where to put it so it out of the way because is so big. the jr is plenty for what you describe, and smaller/easier to deal with if you want to leave it plugged in for pod use. i'm going jr style myself....

Depends on the power levels you want.. JR has PoD standard, Sr takes more $$ to get PoD.

I was just wondering on this new smarty power on demand is it the same as the smarty revo, where you can change your speed limited and torque and all that?

Yes, at least on the Jr it is (I think so on the SR as well). You can tweak timing and torque management, the power on demand is just another function in addition to it.
