Smarty and MP-8
Just got the Mp-8 installed was wondering what settings you guys are running. I understand that sustained driving at over 20 000 psi is not the best for the injectors but for quick runs what kind of pressure do I want. Currently have the TNT set at level 7 rp 2 and the mp-8 at 50%. Questions is am I looking to keep the pressure at 26500. Can I run smarty on rp 3 for quick ramp up and add the mp-8 to increase it a few thousand more. Any thoughts kind of new to the pressure box thing.

First thing is do you have a RP gauge? I run Smarty pressure on 1 and use the mp-8 for adjustment when daily driving and towing. As to where to set the mp-8,you will need to watch the gauge and see how much adjustment is needed to get the RP you want.Ramp up is faster with the Smarty on higher settings and using the mp-8 will help the ramp and push it past factory levels. So I guess it really depends on what your doing on where you set it.Using the Smarty levels 3 and 4 are gonna push you over that 20kpsi range you don't want to be in for cruising.

Now I do like homewrecker says...RP-1 and use the MP-8 for pressure. They are a great stack until you set them on KILL...then they do just that!!!

For WOT, the relief valve is designed to blow around 28-28.5K...but some older trucks have a tendancy to blow lower. Either way the max for WOT for power is around 26.5K, anything after that I guess is just wasted psi.
For DD, its not recommended to run more than 20K cruising...preferably between 15-18K is ideal. On my truck with stock programming I run 18K at 70mph on flat ground. Then on the 03-04 trucks they see around 13-15K at 70mph. The newer model year of truck you have the more overall psi at WOT and cruising you make. I use my MP-8 to dial in the pressure for not overall but for partial throttle so I can keep my pressure as close to 18-20K at all throttle positions except for WOT where I adjust it to be around 26K now.

I have NO personal experience with the MP-8 but most of what I hear is good except for one dealer who won't sell them anymore,... must have had a run in with TS about the MP-8 in some respect.
Those settings you posted above won't even be close to 26.5k so NO worries.

You can't run sustained 20k unless you're running pretty much wot ALL the time. Not possible. My stock cp3 will go to 21.5k at wot,.... but just driving around you won't be close to maxing it out. If you're seeing 25k to 26.5 at wot then you have a complete serious fueling system because it takes more than just cranking up the settings,... you have to have the ability to get there with your mods.

Thanks for all the reply's. Just the tnt rp on 3 cruising on the highway i see a steady over 20kpsi no problem . On a wot run i have seen 25500psi then it drops to around 230000, stock cp3 so far but thats going to change. Out of Here what year is your truck cause your findings are quite a bit different then what I have found without having serious fueling.
