Finished my first full tank a few days ago. 18.0 mph by hand. That was about 40% city/60% highway. I also put my foot in it several times. My mpgs will go up once the new "fun factor" goes away a little. My setting is SW3 TM4 TQ 2.

Pulled one of the heaviest loads I have EVER pulled yesterday, about 20K... The truck has never felt this good. Was able to pull hills on Interstate passing 18 wheelers.. Wasn't pushing the truck hard, the truck is just "woke up" on this setting...
I wonder if some of these different results with the same settings has alot to do with different driving styles... ??

Yes I thought that it MUST be my driving as well but I drove really easy after this past fill up and I just checked it (by hand ofcourse) and I ONLY GOT 11.8MPG! WOW!! I can`t handle this. I checked my air filter and its clean. I am changeing from the SW2 TQ2 TM4 to SW1 TQ Def TM Def and see if that helps at all. I can`t be dumping money into fuel like this.

I just pulled a 18' v nose trailer from PA to Idaho. The trailer weighed about 6k loaded and I got 11 mpg.
Running my jr on sw2, did not use the tow haul, but might give it a try on the way home. And by the way the elk hunting sucks.....

Seems hit or miss for guys this year. I didn't go due to some Military training, but my Dad an Bro were up near Salmon and buried in elk. They tagged out (3 bulls) in a few days and were gone early this year. Other camps I have talked to have not seen much.

There have been so many posts about exhausts on this forum it isn't hard to find one that would help you. I can sum them up this way: When the exhaust is removed completely and the truck is put on a dyno, no horsepower gains are noted unless you are putting out 500 - 600 hp. Turbos love a free flowing exhaust, but stock is perfectly adequate. You won't gain power or mileage with an exhaust, or an intake for that matter. Maybe I just saved you some money there.

Who told you an exhaust would help? A salesman?
