Just thought I'd put that out there. So if some one else notice's a change thats been running Tq2/Tq4 let me know. Maybe I didn't load 5.09 right?? Screen on Jr says 5.09. I love this update able stuff never get stuck with the same old same old.
I'll put this out there for "us common folk" Tqm/Tm I think most would like to see if asked.
0= stock
1= default
2 = less then 3
3 = less then 4 and more then 2
4 = Max TM and Most aggressive throttle w/Tqm
ah64id yep always keeps you guessing, will say this thing is the best I've used on my truck Me Likey.

UUH, hopefully Bob or Marco can chime in here and give us a "roadmap" of what is going on with the updates?

Although the website (under News) say what the updates are, it would be nicer if there was a little more detail on the updates so we don't have to guess.
Personally, I like the way the TQ was set up as 1,2,3,4 , 4 being the highest/strongest. This made the most sense. It's a bummer to keep having to go back and forth and adds much confusion as we have seen here. Don't get me wrong as I appreciate all that Marco and Bob are doing for us.

No.

You can leave it plugged in if you want to use PoD as you drive, but 100% optional.

Great!
So if I want to change a setting, just plug it and change per the POD instructions?
I just updated mine to POD but haven't had a chance to change load it into the trk.

Yes, that simple...

Mine is at PoD 50 and the Jr is disconnected and put away.

Man I love the Smarty Jr!!

I had the 5.08 software on the truck and was running SW3 TM4 and TQ O (default?) for the last couple of weeks and the truck was running great.

I loaded the latest (5.09) software this weekend, left the settings the same, and it was a bit of a dog off the line. I changed to TQ1 and all seems to be back to where I was before.

I haven't noticed a change in the engines smoothness, but I'll keep my eyes and ears open.

On a side note, I couldn't get my new computer running Vista 64 to download the latest software onto the Smarty. I tried both the USB abd USBL, but neither one worked. I didn't download the USB Driver files to my Programs folder and was wondering if that might be the issue? Or has anyone else experienced a similar problem and if so, how did you resolve it? TIA!

TQ1 is stock tq management, and should be the slowest off the line. So thats interesting. I haven't tried the latest 5.09 yet, so I am not sure what changes were made to the TQ management settings... But Try TQ2 and TQ4 and whichever one has more bottom end would be mild, and then the middle would be TQ3, and the "weakest" would last. TQ1 should be the weakest of all of them.

We'll just bit of an update my friend and I both are running 5.09 now and did a good treck of towing and then changed to sw3 tm4 tq2 and was as we remembered 5.08 then I went to tq 4 and dang there was a big differance. Just want to put that out there as we both had done mutiple adjustments and tq remained the same and I noticed better running truck but my friend and he's saying trucks feels just as good as before. His is an 05 mine an 06 amazing how diff the two are.

ah64id - I stand corrected.

I checked my Smarty settings today and I'm actually running TQ2. Feels great so I think I'll leave it there for now. I did notice this morning that the truck does seem to be running smoother.

I haven't tried TQ4 so I don't know what it's like compared to the other settings.

055055.9 On 2 trucks over it did not. No biggie as now it is 0-4 least too most. We booth did notice smoother running trucks throught the power band. Both of us running sw3 tm3 a little less cloud then 4 and tq2, tq4 when you want get a thrill. Trucks 1 05 and 1 06.
